Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Rex de Arte Regia Monday, 19 April 1915
Opus[1] XLV
3.2 a.m. Weather summer-like. Shaded electric lights.
As XLIII in all respects.
Object: as XLIV.
The Operation was not very good, owing to unsuitable conditions caused by an experiment with HEXRUON [Opium] which appears to irritate and make nervous. Hence the concentration was thoroughly bad, though the orgasm was strong, and the Elixir of admirable quality.
Result: This seems to have worked well. I get good ideas and work at them well all the time.
1—[Crowley performs a magical sexual operation.]
