4.30 A.M. Finished additions to Chapter on the Oath [for Magick in Theory and Practice].
Couldn't sleep till after 9.0 having passed through a dreadful ordeal of sleepless struggle with Thought. (Note. Mars was passing across my radical Herschel.) Ether helped me. "The utmost intensity is the mean between two extremes!"
Slept till 4.30.
