Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Wednesday, 2 January 1924

[die] Mercury.

Lunched with Frank Harris. Wired A.I. [Eddie Saayman] £10 Bayley [James Gilbert Bayley] £20 or smash. Leah [Leah Hirsig] destitute. Blanche Conn Tunis. O.P.V. [Norman Mudd] “Douteuse”. But I’m not doubtful about Frank Harris. He is insane. His memoirs are “The Autobiography of a Flea” stuck into ordinary (and very dull) records of a foolish youth. I don’t know what in hell to do—either about him or about anybody else.
