Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Monday, 30 July 1934

Back to B[righ]’ton. Ikey Kerman [Isidore Kerman] paid £6.5.0 for Rosen, £100 for Appeal. Even Philips acted decently, giving Pearl [Pearl Brooksmith] £10 to carry on. [Judge] Scrutton and Co. obviously hostile to Eddy [Crowley's solicitor] (or to poor sweet thing Aleister) and threw out his plea for a few days’ grace. Waterhouse [solicitors for the publishers of Laughing Torso] jubilant.

[Gk: Aifass] I thank Thee.
