An awful day!
Raining most of the time.
C.F. [Catherine Falconer] muddled her mission very badly: not wholly her fault.
Frieda [Frieda Harris] here 4. Couldn't make me hear bell. Kept me anxious till 7. Couldn't telephone: she hadn't 2d—or resources in her mind! Came at 10 P.M. No cash. S.O.S.
