1/2 Mrs. U.[pton] [for dictation]. Went on with Frieda [Frieda Harris] analysis.
Had to rush off to lunch at Ham's [Gerald Hamilton]. Wouldn’t take Cath. [Catherine Falconer] home.
Went to Victor’s, found Alice [Alice Florey] by chance: wouldn’t take her home.
Saw coloured girl I wanted twice while with Alice. Hell!
Chess 4 hours v. Fletcher. I won most games. Nearly all.
5 minute talk with Barnes.
5 min. Air Raid in Ritz.
5 min. chat in subway with Owen, whom I hadn’t seen for years
Found girl I wanted in Heneky’s n.[o] g.[ood]. A real “wild goose” day.
