Slept till noon.
Lunch at Monico. Poussin & Cherries.
Slept till 4.
Deeply depressed all holiday as usual.
4 o’c Cath [Catherine Falconer] here “Fore & Aft” 18-8 Too depressed to play my best.
It’s not yen [for
Heroin]; but
it’s a dilemma:

cessation of activity of any kind, even chess or Fore & Aft.
And light reading fails to interest.
