Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Friday, 22 March 1946

[I Ching Hexagram] 59.

Yesterday one hellish hard day.

Fatiha had to be remembered & copied: am dog-tired.

Chess v.[ersus] Watson[1] (Q) 0-1.

Chits from J.W.P. [Jack Parsons] 210. Gene Wood.

4 P.M. C.M. [Chirurgiae Magister—Dental Surgeon] tried to choke me with Plaster of-Paris, tore most of my moustache out by the roots, and imbedded what was left in an indestructible cake. Thinks £70 odd will square a/c [account].

Chess v.[ersus] Watson (Q) 2-0 Revenge!

1—[Refers either to William G. Watson, a member of the Hastings Chess Club, or Herbert Watson.]
