On a bit with Gate of Horn & chit to F.M. [Frederic Mellinger].
Things all going wrong Miss K.[ingston]. put me off.
Not a biscuit in sight.
Couldn’t pay chess—lost my temper—cheated—won Q.[ueen]—lost game—all quite crazy.
Deliberately lost count of
