Jane Wolfe Diary Entry Sunday, 28 January 1940
Matters have been steaming up in the house for some time and Phyllis [Phyllis Seckler] now tells me that at 3 o'c this a.m., when Lu [Luther Carroll], Margaret, Bob Watts and Phyllis were eating an early breakfast of scrambled eggs and coffee, the household came in for a stripping to the bone.
1. Wilfred's [Wilfred Talbot Smith] constant talk of sex an indication of sexual weakness;
2. The kids don't want to "attain"—they just want to belong to the O.T.O., live reasonably, love when and where they will without all this intense and endless analysing and feeding on personal experiences, then being told what to do and what not to do.
3. Regina [Regina Kahl] "pseudo," has her big moments, loves to boss and is a reflection of Wilfred and for that reason does not get things straight; continues to live in "Greenwich Village."
4. Wilfred's and Regina's drive and intolerance reason for lack of adherents after 6 years of public Mass [Gnostic Mass]. (She refrained from telling me Jane criticisms, if any.)
