Jane Wolfe Diary Entry

Tuesday, 30 January 1940

12:30 a.m. Lu [Luther Carroll] tells me he wrote a long letter to Regina [Regina Kahl], pouring out all the poison in his system, of months accumulation—all bound up in his theatrical aspirations:

a. Wilfred [Wilfred Talbot Smith] sure he could never act

b. Regina [Regina Kahl] of the same opinion but playing him along, he thinks. This letter delivered to her last night and a long talk ensued. Now he thinks the family id flowing together once more.
