Otto Gebhardi
Born: Unknown. Died: Unknown.
The German occultist and publisher Otto Gebhardi was a prominent member of the Theosophical Society, the Pansophic Lodge and of Theodor Reuss' German Memphis-Misraim Rite, which became O.T.O. He contributed to Reuss' Die Oriflamme. Gebhardi was one of only eight recipients of the rare Tunis edition of Liber AL vel Legis that Crowley published in 1926 (only eleven copies were published).
In March 1927 Otto Gebhardi was a co-founder, along with Karl Germer, Oskar Hopfer, and Martha Küntzel, of the Thelema-Verlag-Gesellschaft to publish German translations of Crowley's works.
Crowley later described Gebhardi as a Master of the Temple 8º=3o. |
