Died: Unknown.

Magdalena Alma Hirsig Bliss, the older sister of Leah Hirsig, was an artist specializing in miniatures. She attended the Peter-Cooper Institute and spent a year at the Art League. While studying in Paris she discovered her medium—miniatures—for which she became well known. Examples of her works are kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Sometime after 1920 she married New Yorker Louis E. Bliss, who died shortly thereafter in June 1923. In July of 1924 she sailed aboard the SS Minnekahda, arriving in Plymouth, England, on the 12th. She proceeded from there to Cefalů, Italy, and the Abbey of Thelema where in September of 1924 she kidnapped Leah's child Hansi and took him back to Florida to live with her.
