Hans Hammond "Hansi"

Born: 13 November 1917 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Died: 1985.

Hansi was born on 13 November 1917 and was purported to be the son of Leah Hirsig and Edward Jack Hammond. Crowley, who Crowley, however, reported that Hansi's actual father was someone named Edward Carter.

At the time that Leah met Crowley, Hansi was living in Florida with his aunt and uncle while Leah sent whatever she could from her earnings to support him. In April of 1920 Leah and Hansi joined Crowley at the Abbey of Thelema in Cefalù, Sicily. Crowley's nickname for Hansi was Dionysus. In September of 1924 Alma Hirsig traveled to the Abbey, kidnapped Hansi and took him back to Florida to live with her. Leah later returned to America to be with Alma and Hansi while she resumed her job as a schoolteacher.

Hansi Hammond went on to have four years in college, work as an actor, and enlist in the army during World War II.
