Dear Philip:
This is only to confirm my last letter to you, of Aug. 9, and to say that I stand by every word I said.
Meanwhile your package with Jezebel, Ahab, Ambergris and The Sword of Song arrived, in perfect condition. Thank you very much once again!
It looks as if I could send you a check for $140, to pay for the books you promised to hold for me, in not more than a month. I will write as soon as the money is in.
