E.B. [Edward Bryant] came in.

     

J.G.B. [James Gilbert Bayley] beat him easily.

7-11 LOV went early:

     

I told EB all about Tub [Alice Upham]—prepared phenomenon!—with note on Spellerisms.

     

Then: my relations with Fra I[ehi] A[ur] [Allan Bennett] and proposed a book on him as he was, not Baz’s wishy-washy pastel chocolate box. “Gentle Allan, meek & mild”. He agreed. See Memoranda, p 5*.
