- Crowley's uncle, Tom Bishop, visits Crowley at his boarding school for sons of the Plymouth Brethren, located at 51 Bateman, Street, Cambridge. While there he decides to take Crowley to his home in London after observing that he is being mistreated and in ill health. Shortly after, Crowley is diagnosed with a case of albuminuria so serious that he is not expected to reach adulthood. [56]
