twenty-three pencil and chalk drawings, forty-eight
water-colors, and twenty oils. One of the pieces on display

Morn." When Crowley's
Equinox Vol. III, No. 1
was published in March and the Liberal Club discovered the
real meaning of the painting the exhibition was halted and
Crowley was told to retrieve his artwork immediately.

January 1920 Jurgen was declared obscene and banned.
This set in motion a lawsuit in which Cabell was finally
