- Crowley arranges a private dinner with Henri Birven later this evening in Karl Germer's apartment to discuss business in private only to find that, not only does Birven show up 45 minutes late but has brought an uninvited guest, in the form of the young left-wing painter and sculptor Heinz Worner. - In the afternoon Crowley goes out to the Café Reimann, a gay and lesbian venue. At 6:00 he went to the Romanisches Café where he found Hanni Jaeger. She told Crowley that she had been sitting there since 2:00 and had bought him a Christmas present which the waiter had stolen or lost. They then went to Seichen's restaurant for dinner. Back at the studio she tells Crowley that she will give up eating, prostitute herself to get cash and cigarettes and brandy, then hire a room with gas and a hot bath to open her veins in. She then went off in a rage when Crowley refused to show her his diary but later returned a quarter past midnight. Crowley advised her that she would have to sleep in a separate room.  [27]
