In a solemn manner Jane Wolfe enters the house first at precisely 11:00 A.M., carrying a signed portrait of Crowley. Wilfred Talbot Smith carries in the lance borne by the Priest in the Gnostic Mass and the Book of the Law, followed by Regina Kahl with a copy of the Stélé of Revealing that has been painted in watercolors. Helen Parsons is the last to enter, bearing the small model ark used in the O.T.O. degree work; she places it on a mantel in the room they have designated the Chapel and Smith then deposits the Book of the Law in the ark. - In late 1942 Crowley receives the music for La Gauloise from Roy Leffingwell and arranges for a French baritone (Laurence Holmes) to record it. He re-titles the song “L’Etincelle” (“The Spark”) and anonymously sends the recording to the BBC, which plays it on December 10. [56]
