clearance has been revoked by the U.S. Government as the
result of his removing seventeen classified documents without authorization
from his place of employment, Hughes Aircraft Company,

Parsons, age 37, dies today as the result of an explosion
that occurs while he
is mixing chemicals in his workroom. The explosion takes place at
5:08 P.M. at Parsons' home at 1071 South Orange Grove
Avenue, Pasadena, California. Parsons is taken to Huntingdon
Memorial Hospital where he is declared dead about 37 minutes
after the explosion.

being told of Parsons' death, his mother, Ruth, takes her
own life by swallowing a bottle of sedatives. She dies at
9:05 P.M.
